Review: I finished the final Harper book last night from Charlaine Harris. As usual, I love her prose and her diction is just so accessible.  This is the last book about Harper and I felt like it came to a nice end. In this book Harper and her brother Tolliver are back in Texas visiting their little sisters and wrapping up some loose ends. In fact, with this book Harris does a nice job wrapping up loose ends that were opened up back at the start of the book series.  I wasn't quite as into this books main mystery of sorts like I sometimes am, however, I did enjoy the clever plot twist that Harris threw in.  I would give this book 3-3/5 stars for a solid end to a good mystery series.

Random Rambling:  I hope the next book I read is wonderful, I am missing that sparkle and zeal that I felt when I got absorbed in the Kate Daniels books by Ilona Andrews...I am selecting between Storm Born by Jim Butcher, City of Souls by Vicki Pettersson, and A Kiss of Shadows by Laurell K. Hamilton.  I have read one or two chapters from each of these books but nothing is really sucking me in just yet.  I wonder which would be the best... I want an exciting new series, but I sort of feel like I should go with City of Souls just because I have already read the first 4 in the series.  But then if I am finishing series I need to finish the Aisling series by Katie MacAlister and those by Keri Arthur and Jeannine Stein.  Sorry for the ramblings I am off to read...anything to avoid grading the Midterms my kids took today.
